I met friends here for a lunchtime catch up - it was a venue chosen for its location and equidistant for all of us. . The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the food and ambience were as good as the service - absolutely first class. I will have no hesitation in going back and would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly

This is a great little Italian restaurant to find in a small County Durham village.
They squeezed us in late on a Sunday near to closing. We ordered quickly but still had starters and mains. The food came quickly too. Pizzas were delicious and reports of the fillet steak were very good too.

Seven of us dined here today for a late lunch/early dinner and some of us had a disappointing experience and others said it was fine.
Mixed order of pizza, pasta and steak.
Quattro stagioni pizza (four seasons) was not a clearly defined four quarters pizza it was all the same ingredients all over.
When asked how I wanted the steak order I said “really rare” and it was at least medium/well and definitely over cooked for the order. I sent it back for a new one the next one was under cooked (blue) the result of this was I left the middle bit of the steak as it was cold to the touch. Obviously not brought to room temperature before cooking.
Half way through eating the 2nd steak the waitress came over and said “chef said next time ask for blue” as if I had asked for the order incorrect, however, I didn’t want a blue steak I wanted rare. This for me was just bad customer service.
My order was clear and two steaks delivered and neither were correct. If you can’t cook the steak properly to order then don’t have it on the menu. The meat itself was a quality piece of meat but the vegetables were sad looking. Wish I had taken a picture.
The mare pasta was lovely according to my children and the cannelloni a little lacking according to my dad. My mums amatriciana pasta was delicious.
The cheesecake is not made on site but was definitely the best thing I ate here. My son enjoyed his profiteroles but they were covered in cream which was a bit much.
Overall I wouldn’t go back and no atmosphere but music was good.

Fantastic little restaurant! We do not tend to eat in here, instead we order pizzas for takeout. Although more pricey than your usual takeaway the quality is significantly higher. The pizzas are thin Neapolitan style and are cooked/seasoned to perfection. Portion sizes are excellent and you can taste quality ingredients.
We also stop when we have been for a day up the dales. It’s dog friendly outside and despite being on a main road has lively reviews and atmosphere.
Staff are well trained and friendly. Although I’ve not eat inside the restaurant you can see the decor is beautiful and is well kept, clean and welcoming.
You should eat here it’s great!

Went for a birthday 🎂 and the accommodated 15 of us with all food coming out at the same time. No complaints from anyone around the table. Parking to the rear and is easily found.

Very poor experience this evening! Food was mediocre at best and way over priced for what we got. The manager was abrupt and seemed annoyed we were not ordering starters - we were planning on having dessert but after the mains decided to leave. Nobody returned to the table to check the food was ok or offer more drinks. The fact my husband asked for a main and was told it would be 25 minutes to cook his made him change his order but we waited that amount of time anyway just let the place down. Nothing positive to say except the girls taking orders were pleasant. Will not be back!

We did not really like our pizza, they were quite bland.
Also it’s a shame they don’t accept dogs being a small village restaurant.

Buon Appetito has been one of our usual pizza restaurants for over a year now. Absolutely delicious food!!!
